Post Vacation Sunday Stash Vol.4

Some more beauties to share. I was lucky that two of these fabric purchases were on clearance and it was buy one meter, get two free. How could I resist?!

I did receive a squishy package in the mail on Friday....Westwood Acres may have been having a sale and I may have justified the purchase by cashing in on my rewards....Whatever the justification, I picked up this cute bundle :)

The Honeymoon Fat Quarter bundle!

Who would have known that a little Fat Quarter could have caused so much damage! I hadn't bought any Cotton + Steel  up until I purchased the Hotsprings on my vacation....then I was hooked! These fabrics are not typically what I purchased but I decided to go outside the box....Not sure what I'm going to make with these beauties yet...

Throwback Thursday Vol. 2

So the quilt I picked for Throwback Thursday Vol. 2 edition is the first quilt I finished. My last Throwback Thursday showed the first quilt top I had finished. This is the first quilt I completed from start to end. It is my Indigo Weave quilt.

Completed Summer of 2013.

This quilt is one I made for myself. I love the blue, gold and beige prints in this quilt. And this is a quilt I still currently own! I give so many of my quilts away that I really don't have many at home. But this one is too special for me to part with.

The stitching on this one is in the ditch. This is also the only quilt I have ever binded by hand (and hopefully the last!). I learned a lot from this quilt. How to make and attach binding. I actually binded it by machine first but the stitching was terrible! So I seam ripped it all out and then did the binding by hand....this is the reason why I bind all my quilts with a decorative stitch ;)

Well I've enjoyed this trip down memory lane and now it's time to take a break for an ice cream :) Trying to enjoy the rest of the summer!
